What is SAP ?

Sap is a "System application program" is standard business application software. that will make automation of business processes, and integrate of systems and services to business processes, Founded in 1972 Walldorf, Baden-Württemberg. the company was initially called System Analysis Program Development (Systemanalyse Programmentwicklung in german). SAP develpoed Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software to manage business operations like finace, sales, production, material management, warehouse, hr etc. By centralizing data management, SAP software provides multiple business functions with a single view of the truth. This helps companies better manage complex business processes by giving employees of different departments easy access to real-time insights across the enterprise.


brief history
  • 1972 : SAP was founded
  • 1973 : sap released R/1 which is known as financial accounting software . where R is stand for Real-Time Processing.
  • 1979 : sap released R/2 material management is core module of this release and have capabilites like multiple language and multiple currencies.
  • 1992 : Client/Server Applicaltion program called SAP R/3.
  • 2015 : S4 HANA Business, HANA Is database and cloud based ERP System.


What Is A SAP MODULE ?

SAP Provides complete business solutions.SAP have following business module which is also called SAP MODULE. each module to connected to each other and make a a any business to automated system or centralized system. SAP divided into two part functional modules and technical modules.

SAP widely used in industry for finace. this module designed for manageing of all finace functions and activity of buisness. this module combines with sap finace and sap controlling module. The "SAP finance FI" module deals with finane, accounting & reporting. The "SAP CO" module deals with monitoring costs and financial planning.

function of SAP Materials Management module(M.M.) is a part of logistics function of any buisness to manage inventory,warehouse management, master data, purchasing of material and invoicing.
